Sales Specialist

Minnesota and South Carolina

Full-time sales positions are regularly available at our Minnesota and South Carolina locations.  The Sales Specialist will be responsible for executing daily sales activities, including:

Assist customers

  • Goes above and beyond to deliver value
  • Treats all customers with courtesy, respect and honesty
  • Communicates effectively by phone, email or in person
  • Exhibits creative problem-solving skills

Develop a working knowledge of the product and industry

  • Generates sales through value-based selling
  • Generates sales through education-based selling
  • Employs a working knowledge of products and product groups
  • Actively seeks new knowledge as new product lines are introduced

Executing sales orders

  • Enters data with a high degree of accuracy
  • Communicates with the customer throughout every step in the fulfillment process
  • Coordinates with several national warehouses to ensure accurate and on-time delivery

Communicate regularly throughout all organizational levels, including:

  • Senior sales
  • Purchasing
  • Upper management

After an initial training and acclimation period, there will be strong opportunity for the position to grow to higher levels of responsibility, including:

Warehouse Material Handler

All Locations

Material Handler positions are available at each of our warehouses and include the following duties and responsibilities:

Receiving:

  • Unloads trucks
  • Verifies parts
  • Receives incoming freight via computer system

Stocking:

  • Verifies product and quantity going into stock
  • Puts product in correct location utilizing FIFO
  • Accurately marks overstock and main locations

Order Filling:

  • Prioritizes orders to be filled
  • Fills orders verifying product and quantities are correct
  • Routes orders to appropriate shipping or processing area

Packaging:

  • Verifies product to be packaged is correct
  • Packages product in appropriate quantities and containers
  • Labels bags/boxes

Shipping:

  • Verifies product matches order to ship
  • Packages order to prevent damage during shipment
  • Ships order using appropriate shipping lines
  • Loads trucks

Miscellaneous:

  • Corrects and/or reports any inventory inaccuracy or problem resulting in customer dissatisfaction
  • Performs cycle counts
  • Performs cleaning routinely or when asked
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Material Handling, Forklift or previous Warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret and comprehend documents such as training instructions, shipping tickets, procedure manuals, etc. at a fast pace.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and efficiently.
  • Must pass Forklift training and maintain Forklift certification.
  • Requires lifting ability of up to 80 pounds, with frequent lifting of 40-60 pounds.  Requires a lot of walking on a concrete surface.
  • Ability to understand and apply instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to solve problems involving several variables.
